What is The Manufacturing Method of Diamond Segment?
At present, most of the diamond segment produced by manufacturers adopt Powder Metallurgy pressing process, but this production method has several disadvantages.
Due to various defects of these production methods, researchers of diamond tools have conducted a lot of researches by various means and invented a new production method-manufacturing diamond segment by combining electroplating and powder metallurgy.
The new manufacturing methods are as follows:
1. Use 1mm thick copper plate as the matrix, after oil removal and cleaning, hold firmly with clamp. After the surface of copper plate is removed by composite electrodeposition diamond, it becomes a composite sheet.
2. Choose several kinds of metal powder, mainly low melting point copper powder, supplemented by cheap metal powder. Different materials of processed stone materials should be chosen with different metal powder and proportion.
3. Replacing the original abrasive layer with diamond composite sheet, its thickness mainly depends on the thickening deposit time and current density in the electroplating process, which is similar to the diameter value of the diamond abrasive particles used in the composite sheet. The number of assembly layers can be adjusted according to the material of processed stone. The larger the grain size of processed stone is, the smaller the number of layers is.
4. Because the low melting point metal powder is mainly used as the binder, the lower sintering temperature can be used. Compared with the ordinary powder metallurgy sintering method, the thermal damage degree of diamond can be reduced. Cold pressing molding and vacuum sintering technology can also be adopted.
The above is the new production method of diamond segment, and I hope it will be helpful for you to know about diamond segment.
